Many people are hesitant to start therapy. You may or may not have an idea as to what you want exactly from therapy. That's ok - the point is that you have started to think about it and that may be enough to begin. It is space that you can gain more insight into why you feel the way you feel, as well as help you to cope and move through any uncomfortable feelings. At the end of each session, it is my goal to help you get closer to reaching your unique and individualized goals.
In the first session, we will discuss where you are not feeling totally ok with your life. I will ask you to share information about your past and present. And from there, we will identify the core issues that are inhibiting you from accessing a better life defined by you. We will come up with one or more goals to help focus our treatment so that you have a clear idea as to how your therapeutic journey is going to help you.
The rest of the journey is individualized and centered on meeting your goal(s) for therapy.
